Stian Borg-Stoveland

Stian has a background as a biologist with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a master's degree in Coastal Ecology from the University of Agder, and a PhD in sustainable aquaculture. In his doctoral work, Stian investigated how nutrient-rich wastewater from EFC's mRAS technology can be utilized for the cultivation of microalgae, as well as how bacterial communities affect water quality and nutrient turnover. He has extensive experience from both field and laboratory work, experimental design, molecular analyses and data processing.

Today, Stian works as a Technology Developer at Ecofishcircle AS, responsible for the development of circular concepts, quality and internal control, as well as projects that link technology development, operations and documentation to reduce environmental footprint and ensure regulatory compliance.
