The facility
The Lista project is located near Lista Airport and will be operated by Lista Laks AS, a subsidiary of EFC. The project is our first commercial scale, demonstrating our circular process, with land-based fish production, carbon capture and protein production. This is done in collaboration with our sister company G2F. Sludge will be used for biogas production in collaboration with Vireo.
The farm will consist of 26 independent EFC mRAS modules, with associated smolt production and slaughterhouse. The facility has a license for 6,000 tons of salmon.
The area is an existing industrial area, with good infrastructure available, and areas that support further expansion.
Progress
The expansion of salmon production will be possible in a stepwise and modular manner, based on EFC's mRAS system. The expansion of the number of standard modules on Lista is only limited by permits, and the area provides opportunities for larger expansions in the long term. The modular concept makes EFC technology considerably more flexible than any other land-based production system.
